Today I opened the doors of the new Eastgate Gallery! We finally had a dry day, so husband Steve was able to put the last coat of paint on the outside (the shade of which was the subject of much deliberation) – its a lovely light but warm green from Farrow & Ball and stands out on the High Street which was what I wanted of course – and also tones in with my logo.
Anyway, several customers braved the wet paint and came in to explore. The feedback and comments about the variety and quality of the work were great, giving me even more confidence on my choices.
More photos of the interior and exterior will follow – in the meantime above is a quick one I took of one end of the gallery. You can see in particular some of Belinda Reynell’s paintings, Julie Massie’s ceramic art, an Elizabeth Rashley lino, jewellery by Mandy Nash, metal pictures by Lisa Wisdom.
