Outer dimensions 33cm x 28cm

Catharine is a figurative painter, working mainly in oils.

Her main focus is the human form, and whether it’s a portrait, or a figure in the landscape, her aim is always to portray a feeling of ‘aliveness’ – that movement is about to follow – using a combination of the light, the figure, and the air around it that fills the painting.

Catharine studied at Central St Martins for five years, and most recently, portrait painting at Heatherley School of Fine Art. In 2019 she was shortlisted for the Hollybush Emerging Woman Painter Prize, which is sponsored by Dame Emma Thompson.
